What our partners say about our students

Oxana Okunew | Education and Outreach | Technical Collections Dresden

"As part of a practical project with Dresden University of Applied Sciences, students developed a structured visitor survey for our museum under the expert guidance of Prof. Dr. Marco Richter. The aim was to gain reliable insights into our visitor structure as well as their needs and expectations. The results of the survey provide us with a sound basis for the strategic development of our museum and give valuable impetus for future measures. Particularly noteworthy are the methodologically careful design, the scientifically sound evaluation and the high degree of professionalism, commitment and creativity on the part of the supervising department. The collaboration has impressively demonstrated the added value that close cooperation between practice-oriented university teaching and local actors can create."

Luisa Bauer | Team Leader Content Marketing & App Manager Schlösserland Sachsen

"As part of a practical project with Dresden University of Applied Sciences, students put our "Schlösserland erleben" app through its paces – with a structured study, user surveys and their own tests. The findings provided valuable insights for the further development of the app. We particularly appreciate the methodical approach and fresh perspectives of the students – as a demanding target group in the digital space. The collaboration was inspiring and showed how practical university partnerships can create real added value."

Friederike Kranz I Managing Director, City Management Dresden e.V.

"The collaboration with the students of the Tourism & Event Management programme under the direction of Prof. Dr. Marco Richter was extremely enriching for us. The results clearly show that sound scientific knowledge, coupled with practical relevance, is a top priority at Dresden University of Applied Sciences. Not only City Management Dresden e. V., but also the inner-city businesses have benefited from the results."

Gisela Förster I City Centre Management Neustadt in Saxony

"The innovative concepts developed by students of the Tourism and Event Management programme in the Tourism practical project have laid the foundation for how vacant retail space in our small town can be utilised in the future. The visions of the younger generation are extremely important as a basis for a vibrant town centre of the future. The fresh ideas and systematic marketing solutions encourage potential entrepreneurs to open a business in the town. This creates opportunities for a small town to make itself more interesting and the region as a whole more attractive to tourists."
