International

Internationalisation is a cross-cutting task for the FHD, in which all members of the university are involved.
All departments and faculties are working on this, and the added value is shared by all members of the university. The international orientation of the FHD is a central component of the university development plan and is further strengthened and expanded through the following objectives:

  • Expansion of international cooperation with university and industry partners – collaboration in teaching, research and continuing education, as well as increasing the mobility of all university members

  • Establishing and expanding "internationalisation at home" – promoting the intercultural and linguistic skills of all university members

  • Increasing international attractiveness – establishing international degree programmes and a welcoming culture

The International Office supports students, lecturers and employees of the FHD in the following areas, among others:

  • Advice and support for students regarding study abroad programmes and internships
  • Organisation of information events on partner universities and scholarship programmes
  • Processing application documents for partner universities
  • Conversion of foreign transcripts of records
  • Advice on stays abroad for teachers and university staff
  • Support with applications for mobility measures
  • Advice on funding programmes
  • Supporting the university and its faculties in establishing and maintaining international contacts
  • Implementation of the above-mentioned internationalisation strategies
  • Supporting international guests and delegations before and during their stay at the FHD
