Application procedure

Have you fallen in love with one of our degree programmes and would like to apply? Here you can find out how the application process at the FHD works.

No stress during the application process

Applications can be submitted to the FHD at any time. The following application deadlines serve as a guide:

Application deadline for the start of the summer semester: 28.02.

Application deadline for the winter semester: 30.09.

All our degree programs are NC-free. So you don't have to worry that your A-level average might not be good enough. We look at everyone's individual CV, because there is so much more to our applicants than just a high school diploma and good grades. We also reward professional training and achievements, so that even applicants without a high school diploma have various access routes to study at the FHD. All specific admission requirements can be found on the page of the respective degree program.

Apply first, then decide.

Your application to the FHD is non-binding. Based on your application documents, we can assess your individual case precisely, e.g. whether you can have qualifications you have already obtained credited and thus skip a few semesters. We will of course be happy to advise you at any time in your decision-making process. You can take advantage of offers such as the taster course at any time - both before and after your application.

You can apply simply and easily at any time using our online application form. You should have the following documents ready to upload:

Enrollment application: Please complete and check the checklist on the last page.
Curriculum vitae in tabular form with passport photo
Copy of an identity document (identity card, passport)
Certificate(s): University entrance qualification, i.e. general higher education entrance qualification / entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences / subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification / training or further education qualification

You have not yet received your school-leaving certificate or training certificate? Don't worry, you can still apply and secure your place! Simply submit your last half-year report card with your application and you can submit your final certificate at a later date.
