Faculty of Economics

The Faculty of Business Administration at Dresden University of Applied Sciences offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the field of business, taking into account current trends and developments with strong future potential:

Bachelor’s degree programs

Master’s degree programs

In these programs, our students acquire fundamental knowledge in business administration, taught in an application-oriented manner with a strong practical focus. Building on this, core expertise is expanded through specializations in each field, aligned with the competencies currently in demand in the business world. Our mission is to educate highly qualified individuals who not only understand how to successfully manage economic processes but can also shape them proactively. Accordingly, the overarching focus areas of our management education include digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability.

Study formats

The degree programs can be pursued either full-time or alongside a job. Both formats enable our students to obtain a university degree in line with their individual life circumstances.

Structure of teaching

Teaching takes place in small groups, is interactive, and encourages open exchange with professors and lecturers. Close contact with our students allows for individual support and a familiar, welcoming atmosphere. Through the integration of practical partners—such as guest lectures, workshops, excursions, and project work—students establish initial connections with the business world during their studies. In addition to practical trends, current findings from interdisciplinary research projects at FHD, for example in digital business and new work, are directly incorporated into teaching. The FHD campus also offers ideal conditions for focused, success-oriented on-site study: short distances, easy access to contacts, and modern facilities and technology.

Accreditation and recognition

All degree programs of the Faculty of Business Administration are accredited, state-recognized, and follow the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). The degrees therefore have the same recognition as those from public universities and universities of applied sciences and qualify graduates to pursue further master’s studies at other institutions in their respective fields.

Academic advising

We are happy to provide prospective students with personal advice on the specific content of the programs, the characteristics of studying at a private university, and future career opportunities as well as further study options. For students from other universities and applicants with prior professional qualifications, we offer new perspectives and assess the recognition of previously earned credits, as well as the possibility of shortening the duration of studies.
