Faculty of Economics
The Faculty of Business Administration at Dresden University of Applied Sciences offers four Bachelor's degree programmes in the field of business with high future potential: Business Administration (B.A.), Tourism & Event Management (B.A.), Digital Education Management (B.A.) and Logistics Management (B.Sc.). Our students acquire basic business knowledge in the respective degree programmes, which is taught in an application-oriented manner with close practical relevance. Building on this, the basic know-how is expanded in the specialisations for each subject area, which are oriented towards the skills currently in demand in the economy. Our mission is to train highly qualified personalities who not only understand how to successfully accompany economic processes, but also how to proactively shape them. Accordingly, the overarching focus of our management education is on digital transformation, entrepreneurship and sustainability.
Teaching takes place in small groups, is interactive and the exchange with professors and lecturers is at eye level. Through close contact with our students, we offer individual support and a family atmosphere. Through the integration of practical partners in the form of guest lectures, workshops, excursions and project work, students already make their first contacts in the business world during their studies. In addition to trends from practice, current findings from the FHD's cross-disciplinary research projects, e.g. in the area of digital business and new work, flow directly into the teaching. The FHD campus also offers ideal conditions for focused, success-oriented face-to-face study: short distances, quick access to contact persons and modern facilities and technology.
All degree programmes at the Faculty of Business Administration are accredited and state-recognised and follow the European reference framework for awarding credits. Accordingly, the degree has the same recognition as the degrees of state universities and universities of applied sciences and qualifies students to pursue a Master's degree in the respective subject areas at other universities.
We are happy to advise first-year students personally on the specific content of the degree programmes, the special features of a private degree programme and later career potential as well as follow-up opportunities. We are happy to offer new perspectives to students from other universities who are not satisfied with their previous choice of degree programme, and we will check whether previous credits can be credited and whether the degree programme can be shortened.
