The aim of the study program "Nursing (B.Sc.)" is to impart professional qualifying knowledge and skills as well as specialized and methodological knowledge in order to be able to provide independent, comprehensive and process-oriented nursing care for people of all ages in acute and permanent inpatient as well as outpatient nursing situations. In addition to the professional competencies, you will also acquire the necessary personal, social, intercultural, communicative and the underlying learning competencies including the ability to transfer knowledge and self-reflection.
A special feature of the study program is the legally detailed and very extensive practical training components. Six practical modules are integrated into the program. You will complete these practical phases in inpatient and outpatient facilities for long-term and short-term care, in children's facilities and in emergency and intensive care medicine. In order to prepare you in the best possible way for the practical assignments, the practical transfer takes place in the "Skills Lab" in addition to the theoretical basics. This offers you a learning environment in which practical skills and competencies of nursing processes and situations can be practiced and learned.
In the course of your studies, you will thus acquire specialist and methodological knowledge in the fields of nursing science and research, acute, long-term and palliative and evidence-based nursing, hygiene, physiology, pharmacology, neurology, oncology, emergency and intensive care medicine, pediatrics and gerontology, as well as other relevant content and framework conditions of the care system.
