University Management (Rectorate)

Dresden University of Applied Sciences is managed by a rectorate (university leadership). The rectorate is the central body of the FHD. It consists of the rector as chairperson, the vice rectors and the chancellor. The rectorate is responsible for all matters of the university, in particular for the preparation of the university development plan, the participation in selection procedures of professors, the participation in appointment procedures, the conclusion of target and performance agreements, the coordination of the cooperation with business enterprises, universities, research institutions and associations as well as for the enforcement of quality assurance measures.

The Rectorate prepares decisions of the Senate and the University Assembly. It informs the Senate about all matters concerning the university.
