In a digitalised economy, there is therefore a need for leaders who can grasp complex interrelationships and develop interdisciplinary, disruptive and sustainable solutions. In the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Business Administration programme, we train you with excellent business management skills, offering you opportunities to develop into a proactive decision-maker with entrepreneurial spirit.

At the beginning of the Business Administration programme, you will acquire basic economic knowledge, which is taught in an application-oriented manner with a strong practical focus. Building on this, the fundamental know-how is expanded to include functional aspects of business administration, from supply chain management to marketing, as well as sub-areas of the value cycle such as investment, financing and controlling. The core competencies you learn are linked to current trends and reinforced by methods and tools from science and practice. Guest lectures and excursions serve to reflect on the knowledge you have acquired and help you establish contacts with the business world. Only professors and lecturers with relevant practical experience teach at the Dresden University of Applied Sciences. Small study groups and exchanges with teachers on an equal footing reinforce individual support.

To be admitted to the NC-free Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) programme in Business Administration, you need either

  • a general university entrance qualification or
  • a technical college entrance qualification (note regional restrictions) or
  • a subject-specific university entrance qualification (in the field of economics or similar).

If you already have commercial training or a degree in business administration/business management, it may be possible to shorten the duration of your studies.

In the part-time programme, professional experience in a field relevant to the programme is usually required. In each semester that includes a practical reflection module, you must provide evidence of relevant professional experience (or an internship) amounting to at least 30 hours per credit point of the practical reflection module.
