Rebecca Jacob, B.A.
What aspect of your job inspires you the most?
1. Seeing innovative thoughts and ideas become reality. By establishing the academy, we can now look back and see how many of our ideas have been successfully implemented.
2. Accompanying a growing company and taking responsibility for my own actions.
3. I step out of my comfort zone and often have to rise above myself in order to master challenges in everyday business life.
Did you imagine yourself doing this kind of work when you started your studies? Did you know from the outset what field you wanted to work in?
I met Nicole Kretschmer at the beginning of my studies and had the opportunity to work with her on something. This has now grown into something wonderful – the BeautyKREation Academy by Nicole Kretschmer. My field of activity has become increasingly clear over the years. That's also the beauty of my job: every day is different and tasks are distributed among the team according to their areas of expertise.
What were your expectations of studying at the FHD and were they met?
My expectations were to be able to work alongside my studies and still be successful in my studies. I also wanted practical input from the lecturers. All my expectations were not only met, but exceeded. I wholeheartedly recommend the FHD to anyone who values practical input.
In your opinion, what should one bring to a degree programme in Business Administration?
The willingness not only to absorb knowledge, but also to question and apply it. The FHD is a university that offers access to a wide range of opportunities to realise your potential during your studies and beyond. You should want to seize these opportunities.
What is the most valuable experience from your time as a student?
To be honest, I can't name "the one experience" because my entire time at FHD was a valuable experience for me. Not only in terms of studying, but also my personal growth during this time.
What did you enjoy most during your studies – which moments have stayed with you?
The interaction with the people I got to know over time. Whether staff, lecturers or fellow students – the people at the FHD are a wonderful influence.
