Dr. habil. Zimmermann-Timm zu Gast in Annaberg-Buchholz

FHD boosts Annaberg-Buchholz as an educational hub

Rector Dr. Zimmermann-Timm in exchange with regional representatives on future development opportunities

Our Rector, Dr. habil. Heike Zimmermann-Timm, visited the campus in Annaberg-Buchholz to get an impression of the location and to discuss future development opportunities together with regional stakeholders. The goal is to further strengthen Annaberg-Buchholz as an educational location.

The FHD is already represented on site with a learning center and offers degree programs in Social Pedagogy & Management as well as Nursing and Health Management.

In discussions with Lord Mayor Rolf Schmidt, Mayor Anke Hanzlik, as well as Marcel Rockstroh and Mandy Daxecker, it became clear that the region offers great potential for further integration of education, practice, and regional development.

A short city tour — with stops at the house of Adam Ries and the lace-making museum — also highlighted the cultural identity and attractiveness of the location.

We look forward to further expanding the collaboration and jointly developing new perspectives for students and the region.
