What was the best thing about your semester abroad?
The best thing about my time in Bali was probably when I got my diving licence and was able to dive with manta rays. Bali's underwater world is truly breathtakingly beautiful with its colourful coral reefs and fish. Gliding through the water with the manta rays is definitely one of my most memorable experiences!
What was a typical week like during your stay abroad?
I had university from Monday to Wednesday, always one week on campus and one week online. During the campus days, I went to the beach after lectures or lay by the pool. During the online weeks, I usually sat in cafés with other fellow students and followed the lectures while drinking an iced latte.
(Why) would you recommend students to study abroad for a while?
I advise everyone to do a semester abroad because it's a unique experience. It's really great that FHD gives us the opportunity to spend a semester abroad, and I think you should take advantage of it. You'll never forget this time because you'll be immersed in a completely different culture, meet people from a wide variety of cultures and have unique experiences.
