The Fachhochschule Dresden- University of Applied Sciences (FHD) and the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden are using a needs and situation analysis to identify potential, implementation options and recommendations for action to strengthen cooperation between universities and companies in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district in the STEM, tourism, care and healthcare sectors. To this end, companies in the region are first surveyed by means of a quantitative online survey in order to explore general structural challenges as well as regional and individual needs. In the next step, selected companies from each sector will be interviewed on the basis of a guideline regarding their specific resource and context conditions as well as possibilities for action. In the core, among other things, the channels for attracting skilled workers, in particular the possible synergy effects between business and science at the local level, play in the focus.
