What role does technology play in delivering high-quality care? This question was the focus of a guest lecture given by Yves Tschentscher, a project management staff member at the AWO Kreisverband Lausitz e. V., as part of the Bachelor’s degree programme in Nursing and Healthcare Management. The focus was on the digital patient record – a tool that combines care documentation with quality assurance. Mobile data collection enables relevant information to be documented immediately as part of day-to-day care and made available for further treatment. For the students, the lecture offered a vivid insight into the digital practices of modern care facilities.
