Doreen Kästner was selected as one of ten women across Germany for the GUILD Academy's "WOMEN IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP" programme. She was supported by the German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH) and undertook a five-day trip to Silicon Valley. There, she attended prestigious universities such as Stanford and Berkeley, met with founders and investors, and gained valuable insights into the start-up scene. The realisation that self-presentation is just as important as professional competence was particularly motivating. Doreen now intends to apply this experience in Dresden for her upcoming projects.

Magdalena’s success in the Innovation Challenge!
Magdalena Nachtigall and her team won first place at the Innovation Challenge 2024 at Impact Hub Dresden. Students and companies were brought together for the three-day competition to develop practical solutions to real problems. Magdalena's team took on the task of developing new approaches to recruiting trainees and dual students for Sparkassenversicherung Sachsen (SV Sachsen). With the help of coaches and agile methods, the team worked on a humorous video aimed at breaking down common prejudices about insurance sales. The idea was expanded to include an interactive "candidate journey". Magdalena concluded that close cooperation within the team and with the trainers was a key factor in their success and that she was able to apply many aspects of her studies in a practical way.
