Students from Taiwan visit Dresden

As part of the Summer School at Dresden University of Applied Sciences (FHD), we welcomed 12 students from Taichung University of Science and Technology (Taiwan) to our campus in August. The four-week exchange program, led by Paola Yaconis (International Office), was a complete success for the students from Taiwan.

Four weeks of learning, experiencing, and intercultural exchange

The program included daily German lessons with Ms. Melian Höpping and Mr. Runow and a weekly workshop on German culture. In addition to the lessons, there were numerous exciting excursions. This gave the participants the opportunity to get to know Dresden and its surroundings and learn more about the culture and history of our region. The group visited Dresden's Old and New Towns, Saxon Switzerland, Moritzburg Castle, and Stolpen Castle. To recharge their batteries, the students took advantage of the breakfast and lunch options at the cafeteria and sampled local specialties.

A complete success for everyone involved

The program was a great success: in addition to gaining professional skills, the students were able to improve their German language skills and gain important intercultural experience. We are very much looking forward to the next exchange!
