A day full of anticipation, new encounters, and exciting perspectives: Let’s look back together at the 2026 matriculation ceremony at the FHD – University of Applied Sciences.
The event began with a welcome address to all full-time students by our Rector, Dr. habil. Heike Zimmermann-Timm, who warmly welcomed the students and shared some personal words of encouragement for the start of their studies. Afterwards, first-year students received important information and an introduction to the digital tools and resources available at FHD during a technical orientation session.
A special highlight was the distribution of welcome bags, filled with vouchers and small goodies to help students get started with university life. During the subsequent get-together, students had the opportunity to make their first connections, engage in conversations, and get to know the people who will support and shape their university experience at FHD.
Matriculation marks the beginning of a new chapter in life – one filled with challenges, opportunities, and unforgettable experiences. We are delighted to welcome all full-time students to FHD and look forward to supporting them throughout their academic journey.
