Under the motto “Manufacturing the Future”, representatives from the worlds of business, academia and regional development gathered at the invitation of Thomas Stelzer to promote closer cooperation between Upper Austria and Saxony. The focus was on building new bridges between the two regions – particularly with a view to deepening cooperation between universities and innovation stakeholders.
Those involved included, among others, the Saxony Economic Development Agency with Managing Director Thomas Horn, as well as other partners from both regions. Together, they discussed prospects for future cooperation and international networking.
Dresden University of Applied Sciences (FHD) wishes to play an active role in building these bridges, drawing in particular on the Austrian contacts and networks of Rector Dr Zimmermann-Timm for future cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. These include connections from CEOs FOR FUTURE and the Austrian Academy of Sciences. The aim is to establish new partnerships between academia, industry and regions and to drive forward joint innovation projects.
