Against the backdrop of the digital transformation, established companies are having to evolve at an ever faster pace to safeguard their competitiveness. Young companies are entering the markets with new business models. Entire industries are in a state of upheaval. In a digitized economy, therefore, leaders are needed who can grasp complex interrelationships and develop cross-disciplinary, disruptive, and sustainable solutions. In the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Business Administration, we train you with excellent business skills and offer you opportunities to develop into a proactive decision-maker with an entrepreneurial spirit.
In the Business Administration program, you will initially acquire basic business knowledge that is taught in an application-oriented manner with close practical relevance. Building on this, the basic know-how is expanded to include functional aspects of business administration, from supply chain management to marketing, as well as sub-areas of the value circulation sphere such as investment, financing and controlling. The learned core competencies are linked to current trends and are consolidated by methods as well as tools from science and practice. Guest lectures and excursions serve to reflect on the knowledge and help establish contacts with the business world. Only professors and lecturers with relevant practical experience teach at Dresden University of Applied Sciences. Through small study groups and the exchange with the lecturers at eye level, individual support is strengthened.
In addition, you will acquire key qualifications, e.g. in Business English, as well as modern analysis methods and social skills.Interdisciplinary projects and modules incorporate content from other disciplines such as computer science and design.The program is rounded out by elective courses to help you develop your individual profile.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive the internationally recognized Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (B.A.).With this degree, you are optimally trained for the future challenges in management positions and able to proactively develop companies strategically at an international level.You work as a business all-rounder with individual core expertise and the ability to combine different disciplines with a view to the company's goals. As a private university, we offer you many advantages. In order to be able to offer you this high quality of study, we have to charge tuition fees. As a private university, the FHD is not supported by public funds, but must finance itself completely.

If you already have a commercial apprenticeship or a degree in business administration, it is possible to shorten the duration of your studies.
In the part-time degree program, professional activity in the field relevant to the degree program is generally required. In each semester that includes a practical reflection module, a corresponding professional activity (or an internship) amounting to at least 30 hours per credit point of the practical reflection module must be proven.

We teach and research in a practice-oriented, interdisciplinary manner and incorporate the experience of our project partners into our teaching. In this way, we guarantee our students the current practical relevance of the teaching as well as a high scientific standard.
The FHD has a constantly growing international network of university partnerships. This means you can spend your semester abroad at one of our partner universities of your choice.
